The 50th volume of the interdisciplinary journal has a new format and now contains four rubrics, “Research and research traditions”, “Recent research on finds and find complexes”, “Ongoing work in the museum”, and “Research projects of the museum”. There are papers on projects on the Stone Age, research in the LBA settlement of Corneşti-Iarcuri in Banat, collaboration with Russian museums, research in the Caucasus and Central Asia, the odyssey of the Prussia Collection, Great Moravia during the Cold War, finds from Cucuteni, two Mycenaean seal gems, the Merovingian “Girl’s grave of Britz”, objects with silver or tin coating of the Roman Iron Age, archaeological reports in newspapers, the Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte in 2017, the German Association of Archaeology [DVA], the Commission for the Investigation of Collections of Archaeological Finds and Documents in North-Eastern Central Europe [KAFU], Eastern Prussia in the 1st to 7th century A.D., the cluster of excellence Topoi, basic research on settlement archaeology in the Iron Age Baltics, and laser-scan based 3D-visualisation of archaeological sites in Georgia.
