The thesis ‚Essays on mitigation options‘ analyzes mitigation options for climate change, namely forests, technological carbon sequestration (CCS) and renewable energy. The first paper analyzes in a dynamic partial forest age class model basic economic conditions for enhanced carbon sequestration in forests. The second paper analyzes in a dynamic general equilibrium model economic conditions for enhanced carbon sequestration in forests. Hereby renewable energy and technological carbon sequestration extend the set of mitigation options in the economy. In the third paper studies regarding financing regulations for renewable energy are compared with regard to agreement, disagreement as well as implicit and explicit premises.
