This volume offers a new analytical study of all Sabaean inscriptions from the Sabaean capital of Mārib and surrounding areas [with the exception of the self-contained corpora from the temple of ʾAwām and the ancient Sabaen rock inscriptions from the Ǧabal Balaq]. It comprises over 700 texts and fragments, covering the period from the early 1st millennium B.C. to the middle of the 6th century A.D. and including amongst others 120 votive inscriptions, 60 judicial texts and 130 building inscriptions. These texts, scattered across a variety of publications, are here presented in a unified transliteration following current scholarship and accompanied by new translations and a philological commentary. In addition, the volume contains extensive indices of persons, places and deities.
