Konzept für den wirtschaftlichen Einsatz modularer, wandelbarer Materialflusstechnik am Beispiel Airline Catering

Airline Catering Facilities are often equipped with monorail systems (EMS). Today’s systems have a low grade of flexibility. By adapting the “Internet of Things” concept and considering branches individual design requirements it is shown how to achieve changeability. Tendencies of Airline Catering Industry and scenarios are identified with experts´ interviews. The given scenarios for changeable and traditional systems are evaluated with a model that can also be used for other cases and different branches.
