Die Verwaisung Erwachsener als ambivalente Erfahrung in narrativen literarischen Rekonstruktionen

When parents die, this is usually accompanied by drastic and lasting experiences for the children. However, what this experience means for adult middle-aged children has hardly been addressed in educational science. In contrast, numerous literary texts deal with this phase of life. Eight examples are analyzed in this work as ambivalent transitional situations and the writing down of this experience is reflected upon as a way of processing it.
