This volume can be described as Krause‹s indispensable main work in the sense that it embodies most clearly a systematic fundamental philosophy in its unity with its manifold practical individual sciences or scholarly disciplines. This is mainly the result of a finely drawn social structure, which develops not only vertically (in an organic system of »unities« from the individual to the family and then to mankind as a whole) but also in various specific organizations of those bodies which are necessary for society, such as for example the state for the law and the church for religion. An exact knowledge of this work is definitely to be recommended.
