The unity of the 15th century is disrupted if this period is only seen as a prepatory era for the Reformation and the Renaissance. Stadelmann strives to show the unity and coherence of this period with the preceding era. His work provides a variety of insights into the world view of an epoch which was coming to an end and focuses on the noteworthy figures which are part of these insights: Cusanus, Wessel, Agrippa, Denck und Franck.
